Here is my opinion as to why the Cybertruck is genius branding on Tesla's part and I'm also going to explain why this pickup truck will succeed in the long term future. Here is my Review.

Tesla made the electric passenger cars mainstream with the Model S, Model X and Model 3 sedans. The company has now added a new type of vehicle to its line up; a pickup truck. Not just any ordinary pickup truck, a Cybertruck. Months before its debut we would only get to see a small glimpse of what this truck would look like from elon on his twitter page stating Cybertruck doesn’t look like anything I’ve seen bouncing around the Internet. It’s closer to an armored personnel carrier from the future and also stating it that ‘maybe it will be too futuristic for most people. But I love it’
Hours before the unveil he twitted another hint about the cybertruck stating the design was influenced partly by the James bond movie “the spy who loved me”

I think over time the cyber truck will become a symbol of superior utility, brilliant technology, and clever cost that will end up making the cyber truck beautiful to the eyes of many potential customers.

With Tesla's large Supercharger network, autopilot system, and advanced technology embedded into each one of its cars, it will appeal to any technology enthusiast who wants a large vehicle with more storage, heavy towing and better safety. Can you think of any other car company that has produced this much hype in a new vehicle?
Tesla in general has become one of the most valuable auto companies in the world not on what it has currently accomplished but because of the potential to change the future of the massive auto industry. This company is where it is today because of their remarkable ideas. The CyberTruck is Tesla’s most remarkable idea yet.

The cybertruck is genius branding. Tesla is delivering the future today. Again, looking at the truck itself, its like nothing you’ve ever seen. This is the entire point of Tesla and why this Cyber truck will be a game-changer.

In my opinion, Elon and the tesla team are not trying to steal 2% of the truck market share. Instead they have created a brand new market.
