Elros Tar-Minyatur, First King of Númenor | Tolkien Explained

Elros, the brother of Elrond, chose to live a mortal life. He becomes the first king of Númenor and would lead his kingdom to greatness over 410 years of rule. His decision to be counted among men and the manner of his death would mirror those of Arwen and Aragorn.
