Global warming is an issue plaguing our world that needs to be dealt with immediately or there will be serious consequences. The impetus on solving global warming should therefore be with the people who are the most likely to find solutions to that problem; the capitalists and private industry. Capitalism is the future. An economy controlled solely by the forces of demand and supply allows efficiency, better quality goods and an overall more complete form of production.
Increased reliance on the government causes a lot of trouble. They cannot be expected to sort out every problem presented by the public, so by creating an incentive held solely by the private sector, there may be a greater intended effect towards stopping global warming and ensuring a better chance at ending the crisis compared to what any government may be able to do. I am Dhruv Jayaraman, a 17-year-old student from Jakarta, Indonesia. I am extremely fascinated
by many aspects of the world around us, and I hold unconventional opinions on many topics,
including harassment, the wage gap, climate change, freedom and democracy, and socialism. I
believe that the key to solving most of the issues that plague us today lie in making changes
within yourself, and trying your best to influence the community around you. Climate change
interests me because I have a fascination with finding simpler solutions to big problems, and the
challenge in doing so. I hope my talk educates and involves people from all societies and
communities in the world take note and maybe learn a thing or two from this talk. Apart from
this, I take part in many local debates and Model United Nations conferences, along with a keen
interest in books and novels that concern philosophy. I hope to create a legacy that may spur on
