Kent USA TRL-1340 Manual Precision Lathe

In this video, we will be showcasing the Kent USA TRL-1340.

Weighing in at 2,200 lbs equipped with a 5 HP spindle, this lathe is one of the heaviest duty 13 x 40 lathe in its class.

The extra robust construction makes it a favorite among gunsmiths and high precision shops, all measured running accuracies under 6 ten thousandths of an inch.

Capacity:
The TRL-1340 lathe turns with a 13” swing and 40” between centers.

Headstock:
The TRL-1340 comes equipped with a 2-speed 5HP spindle motor. This is a step up from the traditional 3HP from other standard 13 x 40 lathes. The spindle through hole can easily fit workpieces that are an inch and a half in diameter.

Carriage:
The bed measures 9” in width and 7” of cross slide travel.
A steady rest with roller bearing points comes standard to prevent workpiece marking.
A follow rest also comes standard in this model.

Feedbox:
The TRL-1340 is Metric and inch threading capable without changing loose gears.

Tailstock:
The 2” diameter tailstock comes with an MT3 taper with 4 inches of travel.

Electric:
The TRL-1340 is available in 3-phase 230V.
A V-model is also available, TRL-1340V, equipped with an inverter drive variable speed motor with single phase or 3-phase options.

Size & Weight:
This lathe’s dimensions are 76 x 30 x 58 inches and weighs 2200 lbs
