Doors and windows are constructed in steel with specialized protective glass and autonomous shutters that can close automatically in the event of fire. The overall goal of the structure is to withstand wildfire conditions for up to 24 hours while maintaining a livable and inviting environment.

Inside, the home is organized around openness and connection. Large volumes and an open floor plan allow for multiple living zones that support conversation, gathering, and quiet use across different areas. Earth toned materials and natural finishes define the palette, reinforcing a sense of warmth rather than protection through heaviness or enclosure.

A central communal space known as the pajama room sits between the bedrooms, designed as a shared family area intended for time together across generations. The primary suite continues the same design language, with a balcony that extends the space outdoors, layered textile treatments behind the bed, integrated cove lighting, and sheer window coverings that soften natural light while allowing full blackout capability through exterior shading.

Overall, throughout the property, the landscape and surrounding outdoor spaces are designed with fire resistance and safe distance considerations, extending the architectural strategy beyond the walls of the home.
