Elder Thaddeus of Vitovnica is one of the most renowned spiritual fathers of the 20th century in Serbia. His spiritual Father was a Russian monk, Fr Ambrose, who was a disciple of St Ambrose of Optina. He was the one who taught Fr Thaddeus the Jesus prayer.
