The truth. Being a social media influencer is not what you think. It's hard. Every day is a battle.

Here is my caption from my instagram post:

I HATE SOCIAL MEDIA. There. I said it! I hate it. Having a ministry on social media is hard for me. It is hard because there is a battle constantly waging in my heart. Multiple times I have come to the point of wanting to delete all social media. I have asked myself over and over again WHY? Why am I contributing to the “ME” centered culture of social media? I hate that social media can be all about glorifying ourselves and our own little kingdoms. It’s draining to constantly compare and covet - but also equally as draining to post photos and videos of the best part of our lives hoping others will give us glory. It’s draining because that is not how God intended things to be: He intended that He would always get the glory, honor, and praise.

AT THE SAME TIME I am reminded that social media is an amazing tool for furthering God’s Kingdom. God reminds me that Coffee and Bible Time is a gift from HIM and FOR HIS GLORY ALONE. He has given me this ministry for a reason and a purpose. SO, I remind myself that I am in the world, but must not be conformed to the world. I must constantly check my heart to make sure I am doing it all for God’s glory and not my own.

Being a social media influencer is hard because it begs for me to put my roots here on earth and to build my kingdom higher. BUT THAT IS NOT WHAT GOD HAS CALLED ME TO DO. He has called me to seek FIRST His kingdom and to give Him all the glory, honor, and praise.
