Fukubukuro Hawaii 2021 - Japanese Lucky Bag (Ala Moana Shopping Center && Kahala Mall)

Aloha everyone! Happy New Year! I hope 2021 will be filled with extra smiles and joy for you and your family! I decided to ring in the new year by doing something different! I took a chance and particpated in Ala Moana Shopping Center's Fukubukuro 2021 (then I had to go to Kahala too). Every year I used to watch other YouTubers, read other people's Reddit and Instagram posts and get really excited for them!

Fukubukuro is a Japanese tradition where you go to retailers to buy random mystery bags aka lucky bags. You really do test your luck because each bag usually contains different items. The bags are usually discounted at 50% off retail. Therefore, if you purchased a $50 bag it should value $100.

I hope you enjoy the shopping and opening experience with me. I am so excited! I am truly thankful I had the opportunity to go this year. To help my wallet in 2021, I think that means I will not be making anymore makeup and skincare purchases for the rest of 2021 xD
