2021 Tudor Black Bay Ceramic | Should Omega Be Worried?

The 2021 Tudor Black Bay Ceramic (M79210CNU) might look familiar. That's partly because of its visual resemblance to the 2019 Tudor Black Bay Ceramic One made for Only Watch, and also because it matches the 2019 Omega Seamaster 300M Ceramic (210.92.44.20.01.001) on almost every technical stat save for power reserve, size, and water resistance.

6:25 What does this mean for the watch industry?

Tudor using a METAS certified movement in this sub $5,000 Black Bay Ceramic means it severely undercuts not just the $8,100 Ceramic Seamaster 300M, but also all of Omega's other METAS certified dive watches. But are stats enough to put serious pressure on Rolex's Biel-based nemesis?

What do you think of the new Tudor Black Bay Ceramic? Do you think the MT5602-1U is worthy of its open caseback? Do you think the new Ceramic Black Bay with its METAS certified movement will put pressure on Omega? On other watch manufacturers? Let me know what you think in the comments section.
