With plastic material on the housing, the Xiaomi Action Camera is longer, wider than the GoPro4, But more Lighter than GoPro4.

There is a key for power and mode switch, together with an annular indicator around the key. On the top there is a photo and video key. The hole next to the keys is a microphone. The Wi-Fi pairing key and Wi-Fi indicator are on the side. At the bottom of the body, you will see a buzzer and a 1/4 threaded fitting for matching most camera accessories. Open the cover on the left side of the rear, and you will find a TF card slot, a Micro USB interface and a Micro-HDMI interface. The right side is the battery cabinet. Also, there are three thoughtful status indicators totally on the top, bottom and back, so as to remind you of the capturing status conveniently.

Please insert a TF card before the use. The camera supports a storage card up to 64GB. Please charge before the use. The red annular indicator means the charging is on-going. When the indicator is off, the device is full-charged.

You can use the Xiaomi Action Camera only or use it together with other mobile devices. First let me tell you how to use the camera. Long press the power key and you will hear a reminding sound. When the annular indicator is on, it means the device is working. After the startup, the device will be automatically in the photo mode. Press the key to shoot and you will hear the reminding sounds. As to video recording, you can press the power key to shift to the video mode. When the indicator turns red, you can press the video key at the top. During the recording, the red indicator will flicker. Press the video key again when you finish recording.

Of course, you can use it with other mobile devices to make your recording different. Install a Xiaomi Action Camera APP in your phone, and press the Wi-Fi key in the right side of the camera. When the indicator flickers, you can pair the camera and your phone. Then you can see real-time images in the upper part of the phone screen, battery remaining capacity of the battery and the phone, as well as networking status at the bottom of the screen. Slide the interface on the screen to shift photo, snapshot and video mode. In the photo mode, you can press the right key beside the photo key to choose various shooting modes, like the interval in time-lapse shot, shutter countdown in the time-setting shot and continuous shot in the motion shot. In the snapshot mode, you can record a 10s’ video at VGA resolutions and at the speed of 30 FPS. After that, you can save it as MP4 or gif format for your convenient share on the social medium. During the video recording, you can snap the moment on the condition of recording at 30FPS or below. Snapshot is not allowed at 60FPS or 48FPS recording. Also, you can adjust the resolution at the right upper corner of the screen. The Camera can record a full HD video at up to 60FPS. After recording, you can preview the video by clicking the lower-left icon, or download it to your phone. Furthermore, you can adjust photo resolutions and other setting in the menu.
