The Nightingale - TJ Irish Trad

This song is called The Nightingale, and a song I learned in the 90's and reflects the life of a soldier for Britain and him falling in love and the life of being sent to in far away outposts in colonies of the Empire, far from England or Ireland and the changes and experiences that brings but the common denominator is his love to which he will always comeback to. "The Nightingale" is an Irish version of a love song dating from the 17th century (Laws P13), recorded by Liam Clancy
Our Irish Trad/Classic sessions become more fluent... need to remind you these are just rehearsals. But to hammer out each song is now taking us less and less, we are definitely gellin' and coming together much smoother now. We hope you enjoy it... we are not even half way through our playlist but now it seems within reach on the short term.
