Hiking an Old Abandoned 19th Century Mine Railway in a Canyon | #PacificNorthWest #Hiking #Nature

Today we went out into the beautiful wilderness of the Cascade Mountains in the Pacific Northwest and visited the "Old Robe Trail" which was a former mine railway that transported materials from the mountains downstream towards the cities for processing and production. After a hundred years and several decades, the area is now overrunning with vegetation and nature is slowly taking things back. A truly breathtaking hike that stirs the imagination of what people accomplished in the 19th century.
