The Swiss Armed Forces Central Band - Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2023

The Swiss Armed Forces Central Band performing at the 2023 Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. They are under the direction of their Musical Director Lieutenant Colonel Aldo Werlen and led on parade by Drum Major Staff Warrant Officer Phillip Rütsche who also designed the complex drill display set to traditional music and more contemporary symphonic highlights and impressive Swiss drumming! In this video they play “The Race” by Swiss techno band Yello followed by the main theme from “How to Train Your Dragon”.

The band last performed at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in 2009 and has since been a regular feature at tattoo’s around the world.

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo has strict copyright laws which is stated in the event programme and online. This involves no video being over 2 minutes long of the event. This video does not go against the copyright laws of the tattoo and is for posterity of this military band's performance in the UK in 2023. A DVD of the full tattoo will be able to buy from the event's website from the Autumn.
