ECO 503: Sea Otter Rescue

We visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium and takes a look at exhibits through the eyes of special tour guides. These guides are teen volunteers whose messages are music to our ears.
Behind the scenes at the Aquarium there's a lot going on. One is the Sea Otter Research and Conservation program in which scientists rescue injured, stranded or orphaned sea otters and rehabilitate them for release back into the wild. We learn all about it
Then we goes sailing with a group of young girls who are getting a close up look at our trash, and a lot of it is plastic. It floats on the surface and marine animals mistake it for food.
Oceans cover two thirds of the Earth's surface and Eco Company wanted to know how the oceans are affected by climate change, so Adam visited the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena and discovered NASA scientists are on it...studying changes in ocean temps and what it's doing to our coastlines
