How to Patent An Invention Idea

This video answers how to patent an invention idea. We first discuss what type of invention ideas can be patented as opposed to being trademarked or copyrighted and then debunk the rumors that invention ideas can't actually be patented (which is not true).

We then discuss how to patent an invention idea including starting the patent process by filing a provisional patent application or non-provisional patent application, with developing the invetion idea as much as possible before filing a provisional patent application being the suggested method. The next step is the examination process at the USPTO and we discuss how a patent Examiner determines whether an invention idea is patentable or not.
