Worst Roof Ever - Called for a roof repair - Roof Needs Replaced!

In this episode of worst roof ever, we got a call to give an estimate for some roof wind damage, and to do a roof repair. When I got there it was pretty evident that I didn't want to put my name on a Roofing shingle repair job. Yet again I had to give the bad news to the homeowner. Yes it probably could be repaired and not leak. I don't want callbacks for something I didn't cause or repair though. There are plenty of cheap guys that will do the job and when something else goes wrong and they get the call they won't come back to do anything, unless they get to charge you yet again. It will nickel-and-dime the homeowner. The main reason this roof is going bad was because the quality of installation. The nails not in the right locations. They were extremely high as well as nailed to deep through the fiberglass mat. Half tab staggered pattern on some sections. Shingles heating up and sliding right off the roof in other areas. But joints too close to the valley and stacked. Nails in butt joints. Just not a good install overall.
