RISK Board Game: strategy to win

I am the red army. These is a quick strategy guide and RISK board game walkthrough on how to beat your friends.
Remember: Risk is all about having more troops than anyone else, and also having more troops than anyone else has the potential to get in the next few turns. Don't be the enemy, pit everyone else against each other so they waste all their troops attacking each other back and forth. Convince other players to do your dirty work because you are too "weak" or too isolated from the other strong players. The attacking player has the advantage, so be on the attacking side when you do have to face off two large armies, and make sure yours is always much bigger than the large ary you are attacking (or best case scenario avoid conflicts with large armies altogether).
This strategy will not work with 2 player games. In a two player game it is all about minimizing your potential borders, making sure you get continental bonuses, and making sure your opponent does not get these continental bonuses.
Remember to get your card every turn.
