Everest Base Camp - Cho La - Gokyo in November 2020
Travel vlog from my trek to Everest Base Camp, Kala Patthar, Cho La Pass and Gokyo in November 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, shortly after Nepal re-opened its border. November is usually peak season due to ideal weather conditions, but the trail was almost entirely empty. I traveled with a guide (Karan Gurung) from Discovery World Trekking. We met 5 International tourists in 12 days and visited Kala Patthar and crossed ChoLaPass without meeting a single soul. Most lodges were empty and in some cases we were the first guests in over 8 months. A truly unique opportunity to experience the Himalayas the way they were meant to be seen.
