Hazmat Diving
Hazmat divers have to be prepared to do work in all kinds of toxic situations, including nuclear sites & sewage.
For these situations, divers wear a vulcanized rubber dry suit that protects against contaminants & chemicals, and a helmet that is completely mated to the suit. First, they need to complete the HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations & Emergency) training course. In this video instructors and students at Divers Institute of Technology show how they train divers in the course.
