So, I was doing my business in town and this bird started to court me, then he flew to my head and I had to bring him in the house because he kept ignoring other feral pigeons and only tried to mate with everyone's heads. Since people tend to not appreciate pigeons clawing their face, he was getting slapped and kicked around, so I thought it was safer for him if I brought him out of the streets.
Someone probably hand raised him, screwed him up, and now all he do is try to mate with people's heads and ignore other feral pigeons. Then this person decided to abandon him because he got tired of his territorial aggressiveness and he ended up in my house since he has no clue how to survive in the wild and he's too confident with not-so-friendly humans.
I thought pigeons were either pests or food. Now I think they're the best pet birds. However be warned, if you bond with a pigeon, you are supposed to be its mate, and they mate for life. And being a pigeon's mate is a serious business. Not to mention they are as smart as a 3 years old kid. And they love to bite. They bite all the time so be warned about it.
