Going the Distance - Rocky Balboa (Mario Paint Composer)
9/11 (D:) - W00T 1,000 VIEWS!!!
Yes Yes I had a fun time doing this. The original version of this is one of the most epic compositions ever and you should check it out. It's massively better than this =P

Anyway, in reality, I spent so much time on this, trying to get it to sound right. Well, unfortunately I just couldn't. I tried to stay below the dickspeed level (although 1400 is close, and I hit 2800 at the end for the unnecessary string climbs :P), but this song just has so much going on it was difficult to get it to sound right.
This song is my masterpiece if I had one. This song push my limits, my patience, and my skills. It's the culmination of all my current knowledge, especially with soundfonts. The soundfont is greatly modified with things I didn't think I could add in there. Everything I know was utilized: Tuning, looping, octave changing, making new instruments, everything. Here is the list of every instrument (and everything is used):
Mario - Symphony Mario
Mushroom - Symphony Mushroom
Yoshi - Electronica Dog
Star - Symphony Strings raised one octave
Flower - Trumpet
Gameboy - Jazzy Trombone
Dog - Real Mushroom
Cat - Symphony Harp raised one octave
Pig - Symphony Strings raised two octaves
Swan - Symphony Strings raised one octave
Face - Symphony Face raised one octave, C above the staff is now A below the staff
Boat - Electronica Boat
Car - Electronica Face
Heart - Jazzy Trombone lowered an octave
Coin - Real Coin
Piranha Plant - Symphony Strings raised two octaves
Shy Guy - Symphony Strings, Release changed from 3 to 1
Boo - Symphony Harp
The Symphony Strings, Symphony Face, and Electronica Face have been looped.
The Trumpet and Jazzy Trombones do not belong to any publicly released soundset.
And yes, I used every symbol and could have used more (like a lower piano, and a slap bass...), but I ran out of spaces.
I could not have done this song without cat333pokemon's Mario Paint "Real" soundset, and his Mario Paint "Symphony" soundset, and also AldolfoBaez's (sorry if I misspelled that) "Electronica" soundset.
This song took a long long time. Compared to people like Balloon and Levus, I'm a snail when it comes to songs. I hope you enjoy this song as much as it engulfed my computer time. I've been working on this for three weeks.
RATE, COMMENT, FAVORITE! I would like feedback on what you think of this!
