Everyone Should Change This Before it's Too LATE! | BMW E90 Voltage Regulator DIY

In this video I show you how to replace the voltage regulator on your BMW. This process is going to be very similar for a number of models. I'm working on my 2008 BMW 335i with the N54 motor in this video.

The alternator does not need to be removed from the car to perform this task.

It's a good maintenance item in my opinion. It could save you from needing a tow or being stranded. In my opinion the voltage regulator is more likely go fail than your entire alternator.

They tend to fail where they allow too much voltage and that can cause a bunch of errors on your dash and could potentially fry one of your electronics modules.

If you have over 100K and you don't know if anyone has addressed the alternator on your car I'd do this as it's not expensive and won't take you more than 30 minutes.
