#JamaicaGleaner
APRIL 20, 2026: The Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) on Tuesday passed a resolution to award entertainer Rodney Price, otherwise known as Bounty Killer, the Key to the City and to officially name the road he lived on in Seaview Gardens in his honour. The measure was approved with partisan support at the KSAMC monthly council meeting on Tuesday, April 20, 2026.
The resolution was moved by Councillor Hazel Anderson on behalf of the Seaview Gardens division. Council members approved the measure, which supporters said recognises Pryce’s contributions to Jamaican music and culture.
Further details on the timing of the ceremony and the new road name were not immediately announced.
