Tail of the Dragon - 2019 - riding the Harleys

This will be part of a series of videos from our recent trip to the Smoky Mountains. While this video is solely our ride on Tail of the Dragon, I will soon create a "master" video that explains our trip and links to this and other videos that make up most of our trip.

This video starts off with some Bonus Material of my buddy Joe showing us his riding prowess by dragging his Harley in a turn coming back through Tail of the Dragon on a later ride, recovering like a boss, and gassing it after recovering. Make it "full screen" to see the sparks. Truly inspiring! Nice riding Joe!

The video then goes on to document our ride starting at Deals Gap and going toward Cherohala Skyway and U.S. 129 Harley (apparel only, no bikes). I do some narrating at the beginning while displaying my two cameras side by side (Sena 10C and GoPro Hero 7 Black), and then I come back for some more narrating at 5:20 into the video. I do my best to note the mile markers (MM), but they sort of disappear after the half way point until pretty much the end. Also, we encounter two motorcycle cops just prior to MM 3 (at 8:50 into the video), followed by some miscommunication between me and Joe that ends up with me passing him by. Joe later confided that his arm waving was concern about possibly speeding as we went by the cops, only to have his worries compounded by me passing him by. Get an intercom Joe so we can communicate!
