Texfire - Fire blanket for electric cars with lithium batteries and cars with combustion engines
Video of the test of the TEXFIRE car extinguishing blanket with the collaboration and supervision of professional firefighters, carried out during the month of February 2023.
A car with a combustion engine and full upholstery and interiors was used.
Once the car was fully ignited, reaching peaks of 1000°C, it was covered with Texfire's Car Fire Blanket.
Texfire Car Fire Blanket is a product designed to extinguish fires in combustion, petrol or diesel vehicles. It also helps to contain smoke and flames in electric vehicle (EV) fires by preventing the spread of fire to nearby vehicles or objects.
The Texfire blanket manages to extinguish the fire by suffocation, preventing the supply of oxygen in the combustion.
This blanket has a surface area of 6x9 metres (54 square metres), which makes it possible to cover most cars in case of fire, even SUV's. The Texfire car blanket weighs approximately 28 kg.
It is important to note that at least two people are recommended for correct installation and safety.

Video del test de la manta apaga coches TEXFIRE con la colaboración y supervisión de bomberos profesionales, realizado durante el mes de febrero de 2023.
Se utilizó un coche con motor de combustión y con toda la tapicería y los interiores completos.
Una vez el coche se encendió totalmente, logrando picos de 1000 °C se procedió a cubrirlo con la Manta apaga fuegos para coches de Texfire.
