Joel had a boil that needed draining

We see the pain in his hand. That is pus. He has a boil. Even touching it is so painful for him. But it needed to be drained. It would be painful, but necessary. There are people who feel children shouldn't cry, ever. That's being unrealistic! A child will cry, sometimes, and that's normal. It doesn't necessarily indit 'abuse'.
Through RUS intervention, Joel's mother came back to her children. At least they have a mother with them to help them, and that's a blessing we cannot hesitate to mention.
