Type 1 Diabetes - A Just Like You Film

Four children living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) teach other kids how they’re more alike than different in this short documentary.

Wanting to show others that they are Just Like You, Sierra Adams, Jack Bichelmeyer, Garrett Brown and Grace Chisholm are joined in the film by their best friends, Zenia Amrolia, Peter McLiney, Kirby Motsinger and Jake Smith. They tell their real-life stories, explaining what it’s like to live with type 1 diabetes. The stars of the film show courage as they learn empathy and understanding.

The kids along with award winning diabetes advocate, JDRF National Director and former Miss America, Nicole Johnson, joined by hall of fame baseball player, George Brett, explain the condition, treatments and model of how to be a good friend to someone living with diabetes.
