How a Good Samaritan Got Shafted Out of His Share of the Howard Hughes Fortune
Welcome to Wonderhussy Adventure #539
Date of Adventure: 5/26/21
Billionaire Howard Hughes famously died without a will -- until a few weeks later, a humble magnesium miner came forward with an incredible story! According to Melvin Dummar, he'd found the billionaire passed out in the desert one cold winter's night, and had given him a ride back to Vegas -- thus unwittingly earning a spot in Hughes's secret, handwritten will!
A laughingstock for many years (and sadly, essentially for the rest of his life), Melvin Dummar was somewhat vindicated years later, when a local Vegas pilot's memories -- and new evidence found at an abandoned brothel -- lent major credence to his improbable tale!
It is my belief that Melvin Dummar was telling the truth all along. What do YOU think?
