We never really see the most interesting parts of zombie movies, do we? It’s all one guy getting bitten and then BAM! The whole world is a crumbling dump full of scheming survivors and shambling, hungry corpses. What happens when the outbreak is spreading, though? Or while it’s being contained to, say, a walled off version of the Las Vegas Strip? That seems to be exactly what Netflix’s new prequel to Army of the Dead seems to be asking, and frankly we’re into it. Coming soon to the streaming service, we’ll once again be free to follow the exploits of German safecracker Ludwig Deiter as he and a whole new bunch of buddies take advantage of the global chaos of learning that zombies are real to steal a whole bunch of cash from some great big beautiful vaults.

With that in mind, maybe now is a good time to break down everything that we know about the upcoming prequel.
