He is the son of Karl and Karin Scheufele, German entrepreneurs who took over Chopard in 1963. You have no idea what a pleasure it was to finally have a straight talk with Chopard Co-President Karl-Friedrich Scheufele just before Watches and Wonders 2022. Unfortunately, the Corona-pandemic had prevented this in recent years. The watch brand L.U. Chopard, founded by Karl-Friedrich Scheufele in 1996, has quietly established itself as an absolute insider tip among watch lovers. In terms of appearance, make and quality, the watches from L.U. Chopard can keep up with the big names (and we mean the real big names!) in the industry. The recently introduced "Alpine Eagle" successfully follows in the footsteps of the "St. Moritz" model Karl-Friedrich Scheufele designed when he was 22-years old.
