Alone on your boat for days? My ways to never feel lonely.

Because I work shift work and because I get way more vacation time than my wife, I tend to be on my boat alone, a lot. But I never feel lonely. In this episode of Cruising Off Duty, I will show you how I spend so much time 2 hrs from home on my boat, but never feel lonely. No, it is not because I hate people and like being a hermit. 😜 Far from it.

Boats, especially sailboats, always have a long list of things that need to be fixed or worked on. Even if the weather forecast is calling for rain, go to your boat anyway. You would be surprised what you can get accomplished, even when stuck inside.

In this episode, my Alder Barbor Fridge just stops working and I diagnose it and fix it. Boats always need attention and if you only come to your boat when the weather is perfect, you will find that you barely use your boat, the summer will fly by, and you will wonder why you even bothered having a boat since it gets used so rarely. Plus, your "Boat Tasks" will never get done on sunny beautiful days. Let's be honest !!

What better time to knock off a few "Boat Projects" off your list than a rain day when you would probably just sit home and do nothing of consequence if you didn't go to your boat.
