2023/24 Hunter Valley Bass season highlights (hookups, fight, release)
With the Bass season now coming to a close in nsw to allow these fish to spawn, I thought I’d throw together a short highlights video of my season chasing Bass in the Hunter Valley.
It was a season that showed some huge numbers for me with a lot of small fish getting around the creeks and rivers, likely due to the favourable spawning conditions of the last few years.
It was a matter of covering lots of kms over various Hunter River tributaries to find the better fish around the high 30’s to mid 40’s.
My elusive wild 50cm Bass from The Hunter is still out there somewhere and I can’t wait for spring for the season to open to start searching for her.
