Wet Plate Photography, Rollei Infrared Film, Top Photography Lists

Wet plate photographer Mr. Holga and wet plate studio owner Todd Puckett of Don's Used Photo Equipment in Dallas, Texas are discussing wet plate tintype photography, the Wet Plate Photography event, Rollei Infrared film in 135, 120, and 4x5 formats, a couple of photography list articles, and Dallas Photo Walk events in 2022.

Mr. Holga is going to set-up in the store and shoot wet plate photography on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Most of the wet plate process minus the plate sensitizing and developing, which require the Don's Used Photo Equipment dark room (aka the men's room), will be done in the open for all to see. The most revealing step is the fixer, which can be done in the light. The set-up will also include a backdrop, two Speedotron strobe lights with 4800 w/s, and a Speed Graphic 4x5 camera.

The going rate for a 4x5 tintype photograph is $60-$80 or higher. Mr. Holga is going to charge $40 to recover supply costs and because he is a firm believer in No Free Photography June.
