DRAGON AND BEAR: WHO IS NUMBER ONE? 1969 CHINA VS. SOVIET UNION DOCUMENTARY CHAIRMAN MAO 32630

This is a post-1969 documentary film about the background of the Sino-Soviet relationship, the split between the two, after the adoption of Nikita Khruchtchev's policy of de-Stalinization and the subsequent conflict in the border control, acting as flash points between the two of them. The film presents a brief history of China, contains footage of Chairman Mao's Long March, Chiang Kai Shek, Wang Jingwei, General Xiao Yisu, the Soviet politburo members and dignitaries (Suslov, Kuussinen, Pospelov, Ponomarev, Andropov, Yudin ), Wu Han – an important figure of the "soft power" of Chinese diplomacy; and the border clashes behind the so called Bamboo Curtain. It contains a cursory examination of the underlying reasons for the Sino-Soviet split of 1957 onwards behind the surface reason of the signature of the USA-USSR Nuclear Test Ban in 1963.Soong Meiling (Mme Chiang Kai-Shek) narrates the beginning of this video, which opens with the background shots of the temples and pagodas of the old cities of Beijing and Shanghai, The Great Wall and the Qinghai desert or Ordos desert caravans,
