Google made a funny for NASA's Double Asteroid Redirection Test! I embellished it a bit with SFX.
On Sept 26, 2022 NASA's DART spacecraft crashed into a little asteroid called Dimorphos, at a speed of 6.6 km/sec (4.1 mi/sec or 14,760 mph)! Dimorphos is actually the MOON of a larger asteroid, called Didymos. The mission objective is to measure how much the impact affects Dimorphos's orbit around Didymos. NASA predicts a change in Dimorphos's orbital period from 11.9 to 11.8 hours - 4.2 minutes difference, or 0.59%.
