Martha Namhadi, participated in a race while carrying a drug awareness poster
A marathon runner from Swakopmund took advantage of her participation in the FNB/Seawork marathon at Swakopmund to campaign against drug abuse. Martha Namhadi, the founder of the non-profit organisation, 'Fighting Against Drug Use in the Villages', participated in the race while carrying a drug awareness poster on Saturday. Because of the struggle for funding over the six years of the organisation's existence, Namhadi approached companies to sponsor the poster and was eventually assisted by AM Designs. Namhadi urged companies to take the fight against drugs and other social evils seriously by supporting the organisations doing so. Video: Taati Niilenge
