"Driven by the ambition to share Italy’s coffee culture, Saeco wants to craft the same exquisite results as a barista does. I’d like to review PicoBaristo with carafe. It is Saeco’s sophisticated, super-automatic espresso machine with a stainless steel body offering an unparalleled selection of coffee drinks. Personally, I like the variety of milk beverages PicoBaristo offers. With the intuitive user interface each drink can easily be customized to your taste to be delivered. From the display, I can choose up to 11 coffee specialties: Espresso, lungo, cafe crema, cappuccino, latte macchiato and other delicious treat from the special drinks menu, like a flat white or a baby cappuccino. If you want an espresso strong and hot, just press espresso! Note the thick, compact, stable crema layer and the beautiful hazelnut color.

PicoBaristo remembers my settings so I can retrieve my favorite espresso anytime I want to. Besides choosing the strength and temperature, you can also adjust the richness of your coffee. With the grinder adjustment, you can select up to 10 settings, from the finest grind for a full-bodied espresso, to the coarsest for a smooth and delicate taste.
Let’s try a drink with milk like Cappuccino. I fill the carafe and insert it into the machine. I can adjust the spout to fit the size of my cup when for example I want a Latte Macchiato and it makes it much easier to clean. Take a look at that nice velvety milk layer. A dense, velvety layer of hot milk foam is essential for any milk beverage: therefore Saeco invented Latte Perfetto Technology, frothing the milk not once, but twice. A typhoon effect reduces the size of the bubbles, generating a firm and smooth texture.

To clean a fullauto espresso machine can be annoying: Saeco has taken the hassle away. With the quick clean function the machine removes all traces of milk from the milk circuit after every brew. Also, you can easily remove the drip tray and take out the brew group from the side of the machine.
AquaClean filter is Saeco’s latest invention. The ion exchange technology removes all calcium from the water. The micro-porous filter prevents the smallest impurities from entering. The water takes a longer path through the filter, it ensures deeper purification. This makes coffee taste better and you don’t have to descale the machine for up to 5,000 cups*.
