Vacuum Packaging Latex Foam

Learn how to vacuum pack your latex foam for shipping or moving. Vacuum packaging is useful either if you are shipping a piece back to us to swap out for a different firmness or if you are transporting it and don’t have room for an entire mattress set up in your vehicle.

Materials needed:
• Vacuum
• Lawn and Leaf Bag (not with handles)
• Packaging Tape
• Saran Wrap/Stretch Wrap

While I was able to easily wrap up this small piece alone, I recommend two people on Queen or King sized pieces, particularly on the final Stretch Wrap step. That way one person holds the wrap still and the other person flips and spins the latex into the wrap. I have seen latex vacuum sealed in a bag without the final wrap step threaten to explode its box because even though its bag has no holes, plastic bags are porous and can receive air, especially with 30-50 lbs. of latex pressing out on it.
