FSX Settings and Tweaks Part 1 - Dec 2012

This is Part 1 of a set of tutorials which will help get FSX running smoothly around 30fps with a decent machine (I.e around 2 years old) It must have an Nvidia card for the 1/2 refresh rate setting.

I'm only skimming the surface with this guys and recorded this as I set up my own PC up from a clean install. My specs are

Ivy Bridge 3570k
Gigabyte Z77x-D3H
8gb Gskill 2400
Corsair H100
Nvidia 570

Remember to backup your config file if you want to revert back.

Its advised to keep FSX set to 30fps internally. I've tried this and teamed with the Nvidia tweak will give you smoooooth fps.
However with higher frame eating planes like the 737NGX, set your frames to unlimited and the 1/2 refresh rate will still keep it at 30fps but smoother.

This is my first voice over tutorial so go easy on me.
