How to do pull-ups for SIZE

Too many people follow techniques and range of motion dictats that they don't understand. If you want to hypertrophy your lats, there's a certain way you should do your pull-ups; we'll call them bodybuilding pull-ups, which in my opinion is the only type of vertical pulls you'll need for the upper back. If your goal is performance and calisthenics prowess, then you will have to follow the standards of the sport which do not represent optimized hypertrophy principles but rather a set of subjective rules applied across the board to help control the parameters of competition.
