Deflated by his wavering career in an American semi-pro soccer league and held back by his own lack of discipline, Jimmy leaves his privileged life behind to fly south to Brazil in search of the once-legendary soccer star Santos (Pelé), who has turned his back on the game. Despite their initial friction, the two come to admit that they both need help, and that they both have something to prove.
