How to Vent Sex Ducks and Geese - Waterfowl Babies

This does not hurt or traumatize the babies when done properly.
Please be sure to be very careful with your babies. Avoid applying pressure to the body or vent of the bird. Just gently open the vent with a gentle side to side pulling. Do not keep the vent open for too long. 20 or 30 seconds is the absolute longest you would want to hold a bird with the vent open.
