Mary and Max (2009) VS Sia's Music (2020)-The Portrayals of Autism in Media

I thought since we are reaching the end of Autism Awareness Month, being one on the spectrum, I thought I would throw my hat into the ring and talk about something that is been on my mind for a while and I've been wanting to get out: autism portrayals in the media and how they can handled incredibly well, like in Mary and Max, and how they can also be mishandled and become offensive to the community, just like Sia's Music. I hope you enjoy this in-depth analysis into both of these movies and what they get right and wrong about the autism spectrum.
