Colchicine treatment for COVID-19?

Update: As of March, 2021, the RECOVERY Trial has suspended it’s arm of the Colchicine trial due to lack of efficacy.

Update: As of Feb.2, the government of Quebec appears not to be recommending colchicine for Covid-19.
Other trials with colchicine, including the RECOVERY trial are still ongoing. Will keep you updated.

This video talks about the medication COLCHICINE which is currently being studied in multiple clinical trials as an oral medication for the treatment of COVID-19.
Colchicine has been used as effective anti-inflammatory therapy for gout for decades, but recently, there have been theories that Colchicine could help reduce the inflammatory response seen in COVID-19 patients as well.
