Is It Possible To TIE In Mario Maker 2 Multiplayer Versus???

While I was playing some online multiplayer VS a few nights ago, I had a very close match against an opponent and it made me wonder...is it possible to TIE with an opponent in Multiplayer Versus? What was intended to be a 5 minute experiment ended up going for over 2 hours because we became so engrossed in the experiments and research!

While we can't obviously say for scientific fact that our findings are valid and true, we were able to replicate several experiments and get consistent results which we were happy with. It seems that depending on which game style is being played, lobby order seems to play a factor in who wins the match.
