Our drug testing takes advantage of alternative donor specimens known as reservoir matrices, such as fingernails, umbilical cord, and hair. Drugs and drug metabolites accumulate in reservoir matrices over time. That accumulation time is different for each type of sample matrix and is known as the window of detection.
