Gesture-Controlled Robotic Arm Using Arduino Uno(part 2)
This project presents a Gesture-Controlled Robotic Arm developed using Arduino Uno R3, designed to replicate human arm movements in real time. By integrating multiple sensors and servo motors, the system enables intuitive and precise gesture-based control for robotics applications.
The robotic arm is built with four major functional features:
🔹 1. Arm and Gripper Movement Control
Flex sensors attached to the user’s fingers detect bending motion and send analog signals to the Arduino.
The Arduino maps these signals into servo motor angles, allowing the robotic arm’s shoulder, elbow, and gripper to accurately mimic the user’s hand gestures in real time.
🔹 2. Base Rotation Control
An MPU6050 gyroscope and accelerometer (IMU) detects the tilt and motion of the user’s arm.
The system converts this motion into proportional base rotation, enabling smooth and natural movement of the robotic arm.
🔹 3. Safety Monitoring System
A DHT11 temperature sensor continuously monitors system temperature.
If overheating is detected beyond a safety limit, the robotic arm automatically stops all movements to protect the servo motors from damage.
🔹 4. Real-Time Feedback & Debugging
Live sensor data and servo positions are displayed through the Arduino Serial Monitor, allowing developers to fine-tune motion sensitivity, adjust range of movement, and troubleshoot efficiently.
⚙️ Components Used
Arduino Uno R3
4 Servo Motors
2 Flex Sensors
MPU6050 (Gyroscope + Accelerometer)
DHT11 Temperature & Humidity Sensor
