'A World of Our Own' was the Seekers' second big hit, reaching #2 on the charts in Australia and the U.K. and #19 in the U.S., as well as holding favorable chart positions in many other countries. Written for the Seekers by Tom Springfield, the song was originally released as a single in early 1965. It was also the first song on the album 'A World of Our Own,' which was released later that year.
