The Basalt Blue Sparkle Les Paul Deluxe is a grail piece for 70s Gibson Collectors - besides that, I think it is one of the coolest finishes in general during its era when cherry sunbursts and "earth tones" were most popular. These sparkle finishes didn't really take off from Gibson until the early 2000s but here these things are in 1975 being crazy, out there, and different. It is easily one of my favorite guitars in my collection. I don't plan on letting this one go, but don't regret letting my last one fly on because it is in a loving home.
