Alternative cheap student accommodation in Germany.

Student accommodation is now really difficult to find and prices have doubled in the last 4 years.  In cities like Berlin you can pay upto €600 for a room. That's really unaffordable,  I know the struggle when you haven't found a job and you are quickly getting into dept.

There is an alternative option for free accommodation specifically for students. 

There is what is called wohnen für Hilfe which translates to living for help.
